Bio

Tonya Wood is a Department Manager in the AB&E group of Mead & Hunt. She has vast Aviation and Corporate Interior Design experience with over 25 years in the field. Her projects include leading the Interior Design effort for airport improvements, concourse expansions, security checkpoints, concessionaire spaces, hold rooms, restrooms, offices, tenant spaces, equipment spaces, and baggage claim areas. She incorporates the local culture to emphasize a sense of place within the built environment with an artful approach. Her design methodology respects the human experience, the need for inclusivity and sustainability.
Prior to this, she was a Principal Designer for Gulfstream Aerospace where she created bespoke interiors for Fortune 500, corporate and government clientele, for new and previously flown mid and large-sized jets. Her jet platforms included Gulfstream, Falcon, Pilatus, Piaggio, and King Air.

The Texas Airports Council (TAC) is a legally incorporated non-profit 501(c) 6 organization dedicated to the promotion and wellbeing of airports in the State of Texas.
