Bio

I started flying in 1980 and worked my way up from my private license through my commercial and later my instrument and Certified Flight Instructor rating. Also have my advanced ground instructor rating to teach aeronautics. I am a A&P mechanic/technician/IA Inspector. After serving on my hometown airport board at Comanche Texas I pursued and managed the Coleman Municipal Airport for 5 years where I also owned and operated Burks Flying Service. At the present I have been employed by the City of Brownwood for 24 years and 13 years as the airport manager.

The Texas Airports Council (TAC) is a legally incorporated non-profit 501(c) 6 organization dedicated to the promotion and wellbeing of airports in the State of Texas.
