WELCOME TO THE TEXAS AIRPORTS COUNCIL WEBSITE

Dear Texas Airports Council Members,

As we approach Christmas and the New Year, I want to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to you, your families, and your communities. May this season bring joy, peace, and renewed energy as we look forward to the opportunities ahead in 2026.

This year has been one of progress and perseverance. Behind the scenes, I have worked diligently to ensure that your voices are heard and that TAC continues to stand firm alongside TXDOT Aviation, speaking as one united voice for all airport sponsors and members. Together, we have strengthened our position as advocates for Texas aviation.

Milestones We Achieved Together in 2025

  • Advocacy & Representation: TAC stood shoulder to shoulder with TXDOT Aviation and the Texas Aviation Advisory Committee to help advocate and request changes in current funding priorities and policy decisions for the needs of our Texas airports.
  • Conference & Regional Engagement: TAC supported planning for next year’s aviation conference and expanded outreach through workshops like “Airport 101.”
  • Recognition & Awards: As we approach the Texas Aviation Conference in 2026 we are prepared to honor champions of aviation, including retiring leaders who have supported our industry for decades.

Resolution for 2026

  • As your President, I resolve to continue working tirelessly on your behalf:
  • To advocate for funding and resources that strengthen our airports.
  • To champion innovation and safety, ensuring drones, eVTOLs, and new technologies integrate responsibly into our skies.
  • To expand collaboration and communication, so every TAC member feels supported and represented.
  • To celebrate and honor our community, recognizing the dedication of airport sponsors and aviation leaders across Texas.

Together, we will carry forward the spirit of teamwork and resilience that defines Texas aviation.

Thank you for your trust, your partnership, and your commitment to our shared mission.

On Behalf of the entire Texas Airports Council Board, I am wishing you a Merry Christmas, a joyful New Year, and clear skies ahead.

Warm regards,

Ty Helton

Welcome to TAC!

Here at the Texas Airports Council we allow for the exchange of ideas, methods, information and experience as related to the operation and management of airports across the State of Texas. The Texas Airports Council (TAC) encourages the public’s understanding of the value of aviation and airports to communities throughout our great state.

The role of TAC is to provide education to airport managers and be a resource to local, state and federal agencies. We promote safety in the development of airport facilities and operating procedures.

Here at the TAC we support academic endeavors of the membership and the aviation education programs within the State of Texas by providing scholarships. The TAC also promotes, encourages and fosters public recognition of airports and the airport executive profession.
